What is the Quadro P620?
The Quadro P620 is a professional workstation GPU from NVIDIA, based on the Pascal architecture (same generation as GTX 1050/1060). It has 2GB GDDR5 VRAM and a 512 CUDA core count. It was never designed for gaming -- it was built for CAD, 3D modeling, and video work in HP, Dell, and Lenovo workstations.
In Pakistan, these cards flood the used market when offices decommission their workstations. You can find them for Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,000 -- making them one of the cheapest discrete GPUs available.
Important note: The P620 uses a low-profile bracket and runs without a PCIe power connector (only uses slot power). This makes it compatible with old office PC towers that have no 6-pin power connectors.
P620 vs GTX 750 Ti -- What Level Is It?
In gaming performance, the Quadro P620 sits roughly at the level of a GTX 750 Ti or slightly below. NVIDIA optimizes Quadro drivers for professional workloads, not games -- so the P620 underperforms compared to a gaming Pascal card of similar specs. Think of it as a GT 1030 with better drivers for 3D work.

The RDR2 Finding -- 720p 30 FPS Works
This surprised us. Red Dead Redemption 2 at 720p with all settings at Low, capped at 30 FPS with RTSS, runs smoothly on the P620. The key settings are: Volumetrics Quality off, Reflections off, Grass Level of Detail to Low. It is not a great experience visually, but it is perfectly smooth and fully playable for a story game.
Far Cry 5 and New Dawn -- 1080p 30-45 FPS
This also surprised us. Far Cry 5 at Low settings 1080p, with DX11 and Ambient Occlusion off, runs at 35-45 FPS on the P620. Capping at 30 FPS with RTSS makes it feel perfectly smooth. The P620 has enough Pascal architecture to handle the Far Cry 5 engine at minimum settings.
What the P620 is best for
- Free Fire, CS2, Valorant -- These run great and are the primary use case
- GTA V -- 40-50 FPS at Normal settings is comfortable
- FIFA/EA FC -- Solid 60 FPS, perfect for this game
- Story games at 30 FPS cap -- Far Cry 5, Witcher 3, Mafia DE all work
- Minecraft -- Install Sodium, runs well
What to avoid
- COD Warzone, Cyberpunk, Elden Ring, Hogwarts Legacy -- below playable even at minimum
- Any game released after 2022 -- the 2GB VRAM limit becomes a hard wall
Is the P620 worth buying for gaming?
At Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000, yes -- if you mostly play esports titles, GTA V, FIFA, and Free Fire. It is also the only gaming option for slim office PCs (HP EliteDesk, Dell OptiPlex) that have no room for a full-size GPU.
If you can spend Rs 8,000 to Rs 12,000, a GTX 1050 Ti gives you roughly 3x the gaming performance and is a much better investment for gaming.
